Upcoming Mindfulness Meditation Events

This semester Hofstra Student Counseling is offering a free Mindfulness Meditation Group.

Mindfulness meditation focuses on learning ways to stay in the present moment rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on the past.  It will help you feel less stressed and more connected to yourself and the things around you.

This free group is open to all Hofstra students and you are welcome to come to one or all meetings.  It meets every Tuesday at 8PM.  Meetings are held in the Saltzman Center with the exception of these special meetings noted below.  For more information you may contact Hofstra Counseling at 516-463-6791 or simply attend one of our meetings.

Dealing with Roommates and Other Difficult People

Have you ever had trouble dealing with a difficult suitemate, parent, professor, or boss?  Learn ways to handle your stress and better communicate with others.

De-stress for Your Tests
Tuesday March 27th at 8:00pm, Netherlands Cafeteria North
If you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed by exams, this is the place to be.  We will help you de-stress and relax, and teach you strategies to help clear your mind so you can do your best on test day.

Body/Mind Connection
Tuesday April 12th at 8:00pm, Netherlands Cafeteria North
We’ll talk about how stress can impact physical well being and show you ways you can better appreciate your body and reduce anxiety.  We may even have some free snacks for you!
