The Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) is hosting its annual meeting in New York City (at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square) March 1-3.
This is a conference for psychology undergraduate and graduate students. If you attend, you’ll get the chance to hear presentations by some top researchers in the field, to learn more about psychology, and to meet psychology students and faculty from other colleges in the Northeast. If you’re interested in going on to graduate school in psychology, it’s a particularly useful experience. There will also be a few sessions devoted to navigating the grad school application process. If you are interested in attending all or part of the conference, the Hofstra Psychology Department can offer to pay the fees necessary for a number of current students to attend. If students are interested, we will also try to organize a group dinner in NYC one evening. You will need to get yourself to and from the conference site to attend, but you do not need to attend the conference all day Saturday and Sunday. If you’re interested, e-mail Dr. Masnick at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information by February 25.
