Research Assistant Opportunities – VA Medical Center (Manhattan) – Dementia projects

From Dr. Amy Scheck, with the department of Research and Development at the VA Medical Center in Manhattan:

Our team is involved in an ongoing grant-funded research project (Dementia Caregiver Intervention), and we are currently seeking motivated students to become a part of our group. As a Volunteer Research Assistant, these students would be given exposure to many different elements of research including participant recruitment, data entry, and manuscript preparation. This is the perfect opportunity for undergraduate students looking to gain experience prior to graduate school, or graduate students looking for internship/ practicum placements. Hours are flexible and negotiable, but a minimum of 1 full day (8 hours) per week would most benefit both our team and the student.”

Basic duties: Recruitment activities, Phone screens, Community outreach, Study visits, Phone visits, Administrative tasks (Data Entry, Transcribing, Coding), Meetings, Literature searches
