The NEURON Conference at Quinnipiac University will take place February 23, 2014.

Quinnipiac University (QU) will host the NEURON conference on Sunday, February, 23, 2013 at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine on North Haven, CT, Campus.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Amelia Eisch PhD, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (supported by QU and Trinity College)

This year our keynote speaker is Amelia Eisch, Associate Professor of Psychiatry, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.  She will present a talk titled “Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis: What are New Neurons Good For? What is Good for New Neurons?” The focus of Dr. Eisch’s research team is on the role that mediators of developmental neuroplasticity play in adult neuroplasticity, particularly neuroplasticity that contributes to normal motivated behaviors as well as psychiatric disorders.
