We are delighted to announce that applications are now being considered for the 2016 SPSP Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR).
SPUR is a full-time, 8-week summer internship program that allows talented, graduate-school-bound undergraduates and recent graduates from under-represented ethnic groups to gain hands-on research experience working closely with a social-personality psychology faculty mentor at the mentor’s university. Applicants ideally should be intending to apply to graduate school in social or personality psychology within one or two years.
Interested applicants should complete the application materials located on the application website. As part of the application process, applicants will be asked to identify up to five potential faculty mentors from the list of participating faculty. The list contains a brief description of potential mentors’ research programs to facilitate applicants’ identification of potential mentors.
Applicants who are selected for the internship will receive up to $500 to support travel to and from the mentor’s location, and a summer stipend of $5,000 to support housing and living expenses.
Application materials are due by 3/11/2016.
