Fall internship, Education Development Center

EDC’s Center for Children and Technology is seeking an intern for the Fall 2016 semester. The Center for Children and Technology (CCT; http://cct.edc.org/ ), based in New York City, is a research and development center within Educational Development Center, Inc. Founded in 1980, CCT investigates how technology can influence and enhance teaching and learning across a wide range of educational settings. CCT conducts basic, applied and formative research, working in collaboration with educational, corporate, government and research institutions. CCT also designs and develops prototype software and instructional resources that support engaged, active learning.

The internship responsibilities will assist with on several of applied research projects. Project topics include early childhood math, arts integration, and mentoring. Interns with specific interests in these domains are encourage to indicate that preference in their application; however, the intern will likely work on more than one project during the semester. Interns are expected to work one day in the Manhattan office and attend the regular staff meeting and the remaining hours worked can be completed remotely. Internship activities include conducting literature searches and creating an annotated bibliography, conducting qualitative and basic quantitative and summarization of findings.
