Jeremy Jamieson at the University of Rochester is currently seeking a full-time Lab Manager to begin September 1st, 2016 for a 1-year commitment that may be renewed.
The Lab Manager will work closely with Dr. Jamieson, his graduate students, and research staff in all aspects of the research process, from study conceptualization to preparation of manuscripts. To provide some additional detail, primary responsibilities include 1) creating and organizing the lab schedule, 2) recruiting and scheduling research participants, 3) overseeing data collection for social stress studies that use behavioral and psychophysiological measures, 4) coding, scoring, and managing physiological, behavioral, and self-report data, 5) managing grants and IRB protocols, and 6) assisting with literature reviews and general manuscript preparation.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate with a degree in psychology who is interested in strengthening his/her research skills before applying to graduate school in psychology.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biology, or a related field; strong organizational skills and attentiveness to details; proficiency with Excel and SPSS. Experience with physiological data acquisition systems and Matlab, AcqKnowledge, and Mindware is preferred.
