Research Assistant, Brain Development Laboratory, Vanderbilt University

Research Assistant II position is available in the Brain Development Laboratory in the Department of Psychology and Human Development at Vanderbilt University Peabody College. We are broadly interested in how the brain changes over development and in individual differences (including disability) in brain organization. Research in the lab is focused on the neural basis of (1) reading and language, (2) mathematical cognition, (3) scientific reasoning and (4) cross-cultural differences. This position involves implementing experiments, participant recruitment, cognitive testing, collecting neuroimaging data, data management and analysis, supervision of undergraduate assistants and/or administrative duties. Job requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of research experience or the equivalent, and will require some evening and weekend hours. We are looking for an independent, motivated, responsible, detail-oriented and organized person with good communication and interpersonal skills to be a part of an interdisciplinary and dynamic research team.
