Recruiting temporary research assistant for NSF-funded project

The Spatial Development Lab at Montclair State University is recruiting a temporary research assistant to help with an NSF-funded research project. Specifically, we are looking for someone who:1.     Is familiar with virtual reality (VR) programs such as Unity 3D 2.     can write codes in VR programs such as Unity 3D. 3.     has basic knowledge of experimental design4.     has basic knowledge of data management. The temporary research assistant will design desktop-based complex VR environments (city-like), which will then be used to examine navigation skills in children. The program should record the real-time position information of the participants during their navigation. We have VR templates from our earlier studies that may help facilitate the programming process. The position is expected to start Jan 2023, or as soon as possible, and involves a total of 100-120 hours. The research assistant can work at their own pace, but the final product should be completed within 3-4 months at the latest. The PIs will provide the environment’s specifications, and the research assistant is expected to collaborate with the PIs. The successful completion of the VR environment will involve a flat rate payment of $2,500-$3,000.
