Lab Manager Position at UC DREAMS Lab (University of California, Berkeley)

The UC DREAMS lab in the Psychology Department at UC Berkeley (PI: Arianne Eason) is recruiting for a full time one-year lab management position. Who we are:

The UC UC DREAMS Lab is focused on understanding the nature of prejudice, bias, and inequality development across numerous social groups, such as Black Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans, women, and poor individuals. The lab applies methods from social, cultural, and developmental psychology to understand how features of our social and cultural context shape peoples’ attitudes and behaviors in ways that work to reify existing inequalities and stagnate change.

Responsibilities Include many research-related activities, such as:
-Recruit and schedule participants for single session or multi-session studies.
-Interact with research participants
-Obtain consent, explain project goals and provide overview of procedures
-Designing and creating experimental stimuli
-Preparation of research for publication
-Recruiting, training, and supervising undergraduate assistants
-Preparing applications for human subjects approval
-Coordinating lab member scheduling and meetings
-Helping to handle research expenses (i.e., helping coordinate payment for study stimuli, participants, and research dissemination)

The position is ideal for graduating undergraduates or recent graduates.
